Friends are Sewn One Stitch at a Time

Card front

Once again, I have the joy and pleasure of playing along in some fun challenges with my bestie, Carmen.  This week, a new set of challenges have been issued by Susan Opel and the talented ladies of the MFT Challenge and Inspiration Blog.  On Wednesday: a sketch challenge; on Thursday: a color challenge...the sketch challenge is weekly; however, the color challenge takes place every second and fourth Thursday of the month.  I am hoping to be able to find time and play in each week's challenge...fingers and toes crossed!

Card interior

Today's card, was inspired by this week's fabulous sketch:

I flipped it counterclockwise for a vertical card.  Since I have very little time to get crafty...you know...that whole work, family, and house stuff that seems to take up the majority of our days...I haven't purchased many current stamps or dies.  So, the stamps and dies used for this card have been discontinued.  I bought them during one of the awesome MFT clearance sales; therefore, all of the MFT items used are now discontinued.  Still, they are MFT nonetheless.  Maybe now that I am attempting to fit crafting into my hectic schedule, I will be able to acquire a few current items.  We shall see.  I am cheap frugal person on a rather tight budget, which means I may simply wait until the next blowout sale.  Fortunately, I am an extremely patient person with loads of will power...at least I am going to keep telling myself that. ;)

Next, I am going to attempt the fun color challenge!  Wish me luck. :)  In case you are interested and would like to play along, here are the colors:

Cool colors, huh?  I love them!!  I don't have much in those colors, but I plan on doing my very best to get something whipped up before the deadline.

Well, that about does it for me.  Now, I am going to scrounge for items to use for the color challenge.  Thank you so very much for dropping by.  I very much appreciate it.  I hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend!
Hugs and smiles,
Carolyn

  3. I'm so glad you joined in, Carolyn, and it certainly doesn't matter the age of what you use! I, too, like how you turned the sketch on its side. Very fun.
