Hanging with some "Friends with Flair"

Stamp Set: You Color My World from Unity Stamp Co.
Hello.  Did the mad dash to create a card for today's Friends with Flair at Unity. I love Fridays!! I especially love being able to meet so many wonderfully talented artists. They provide me with a great deal of inspiration, and I very much look forward to seeing their creations.

Stamp Set: You Color My World from Unity Stamp Co.
Today's card features the sentiment stamp from Unity's itty bitty collection called You Color My World.  Yes.  It is an extremely simple card.  I simply grabbed one of my heart nesties and used a paper piercer to punch holes around it...trying my best to keep the holes symmetrical.  Then, I added brads to the holes.  Since I hoarded collected brads in a wide variety of colors when I first discovered paper crafting...back when brads were "all the rage"...and have loads of them in my stash, I thought it was high time for me to finally put them to good use.  Not very chic or trendy, but it allows me to use what I have.  Up side?  I am doing exactly what I set out to do since rediscovering this hobby...enjoying and appreciating what I have and not spending money until the items I have are used up. (: Winning!! :)  Yes, I am proud of myself for sticking to my guns and using what I have before buying new crafty stuff...unless it's Unity rubbah of course. ;)

I am also going to enter this card into Anya, Oddies, and Others: Anything Goes for March.  If you haven't been by their wonderful blog, you should pop on by, you won't be disappointed.  They have some lovely Unity inspiration, as well as beauties from other fabby stamp companies.  You should add your Unity creations and play along! Well, I am heading out of here.  I hope you have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!  Thank you for dropping by.  I do appreciate it! :)

Hugs and Smiles,
Carolyn
