Motherly Love

Good morning!  I have finally had the opportunity to play along with this week's Friends with Flair hosted by Unity Stamp Co. :)  I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am to be able to get creative with some Unity stamps, as well as a recently released digi from the Digi Fundraiser for Debbie, which features the likenesses of my amazing friend Heather Dennis of Fresh Brewed Designs and her mother Debbie Lynch.

Recently, I learned that Mrs. Debbie was diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer.  She will soon undergo surgery to have the mass removed, and we are hoping and praying it is contained and has not spread.  Please, join us in prayers for Mrs. Debbie and her family.  If you would like to help in another way, a Give Forward account has been established for donations and a Digi Fundraiser for Debbie Shop has been created; all the proceeds from both places will go directly to Mrs Debbie to assist her with medical and medically related expenses. Furthermore, Heather will be donating all the earnings she receives from the sell of products from her Fresh Brewed Designs Store as well.  Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  If you do decide to purchase something from the digi shop, we will be hosting a blog hop on Tuesday, July 14th.  The only requirement to enter is to use either a Digi Fundraiser for Debbie image or a Fresh Brewed Designs image on your creation.  There will be prizes offered to random participants and purchasers.  We would love to have you join us!

For my card, I used the digi image Motherly Love (please forgive the streaks in the image...my printer is low on ink), which was cropped to fit within a fabulous stamp from Unity.  Once the digi was colored, I framed it within the Polaroid styled stamp from the Insta-Live, Love, Dream set to give it the look of a photograph.  Initially, I was going to hand write the sentiment on the snapshot, but decided to use the wonderful sentiment from Heart Strings.  This is why I LOVE UNITY!!  Their stamps are so incredibly diverse and can be used in a number of ways.  All I can say is...this card would not have come together as I envisioned without Unity.  Yes, I am definitely hooked on their stamps...and if you are a Friend with Flair, you know exactly what I mean...and you are probably hooked too. ;)

I do thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a beautifully blessed day and a wonderfully relaxing weekend.

Hugs and Smiles,
Carolyn
