You Color My World
Happy Friends with Flair Friday!!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week. Mine, well let's just say I am glad it's coming to a close and hope the upcoming week brings better health and holds an abundance of pain-free, productive days. I have been praying for it, so I know it is just around the corner...simply have to be patient. :)
Since I haven't been feeling very cheerful, I thought I would attempt to create a cheerful card. I used the same Unity stamp set from last Friday--You Color My World from Unity's Itty Bitty Collection. For an itty bitty, it has loads of creative possibilities. I absolutely love this stamp set! I have another idea in the works...hope it comes together like I am planning. We shall see...
I was going for a carefree, childlike card...with a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...something simple and fun. Mistakes? No worries; children don't get too caught up in that. It is simply all about the joy of creating. Glad I was in that mode of thinking, because this card had more than its share of oopsies. Originally, the rainbow was going to be colored with crayons; but to my surprise and dismay, I have no crayons...I know...the horror! Then, I opted for watercolor pencils...quick and easy, especially with shading...unfortunately, I pulled from the wrong jar and grabbed a color pencil instead...oops! Too late to turn back now. Then, to top it all off, I personally think it would have come out better had I used a larger card base...that way it wouldn't look so busy or cluttered. I feel like there is too much going on for such a small space. What do you think? Think this may be a do over. Hmmm...
Well, I will not bore you to tears with my blabber. Thank you for dropping by, for all the encouragement you provide, and for your sweet comments. I do appreciate it, as I know how busy lives are. Have a wonderful Friday and a glorious weekend!! :)
Smiles and Blessings,
Carolyn
