I Love Layers, Bella Flora, and Audrey Hepburn!

Good morning, and a VERY HAPPY Wednesday to YOU! We are winding down Challenge #6 at "There's a Stamp for That." Therefore, if you haven't already submitted your Back-to-School and/or Square Card work of art, you still have a few days left to post it to the challenge album. As always, we love to see your beautiful creations. πŸ’—πŸ’—

As you can see, I opted to make another square card. Not sure what came over me, but somehow "Breakfast at Tiffany's" was on my mind when I reached for my Bella Flora dies. Since childhood, Audrey Hepburn has captivated me...her style, compassion, and grace have always epitomized my definition of beauty...as for glamour...she always nailed it! Maybe I channeled the movie because it will soon be celebrating it's 60th anniversary (October 2021), and the fashions within it continue to inspire designers and divas of modern day. As the saying goes...the classics never die...whether it is the iconic, little, black dress or the sleeveless, pink, bombshell of a dress. Still, for me, her inner beauty is by far more noteworthy than anything she wore or what she looked like...maybe that is why she will always hold a special place in my heart. πŸ’—πŸ’—

Pardon my digression...let's talk about the card. As the title suggests, I love layers. Once I die cut the flower background and detail, I decided to use my Nuvo Strawberry Bon Bon glitter marker to color them in...the background was watercolored, while the detail floral die was colored directly with the marker, which gave it a wonderful contrast. I wish I could have captured all the lovely sparkle and shimmer. Then, I simply die cut some leaves, tags, doilies, and circles (the circles were black tulle)...added some lace remnants, Prima flowers, a crocheted lace, doily (purchased after Christmas at Michael's too many years ago to remember), and a sentiment from a Tim Holtz chat pack. Nothing expensive or elaborate. Honestly, most of the items are things bought on a deep clearance or leftovers from past projects. There is something wonderful about purchasing a die set that does not require the stamps to make it work on a project. Don't get me wrong, I love the Bella Flora stamps and the Bella Flora Borders stamps, but what I love the most is the versatility of this collection. I can either choose to combine them or use them separately, and no matter what I choose, the end result always leaves me happy. For me, that translates to πŸ‘‰money well spentπŸ‘ˆ! Therefore, if you think you may be interested in acquiring the dies and/or the border stamps, you might want to grab them now before they are gone forever as they are being retired.

Here are two other card projects that feature the Bella Flora Collection at Ink Road Stamps:

I thank you for taking the time to πŸ’₯popπŸ’₯ by! I cannot even begin to express how much it is appreciated. Please stop by the "There's a Stamp for That Challenge" on Facebook. Even if you don't want to play along in this challenge, you could see all the stunning projects others have created and possibly gather some inspiration. I know I am always left inspired.

Have a lovely day,
